Interesting Gallstones

A collection of gallstones with a distinctive dark, faceted appearance — extracted at operation. The size, colour, and multi-faceted geometry are useful visual markers a patient can recognise from their own imaging. Symptoms typically included right-upper-quadrant pain after fatty meals, nausea, and — when a stone slipped into the bile duct — episodes of jaundice.
